Rapid Application Development is a software development methodology, which involves iterative development and the construction of prototypes. Many customers with small and medium sized application requirements prefer Rapid Develoment because it forces the developer and customer to stay in constant contact and reduces mission creep. The prototype can often be created in just a few weeks. After prototype is complete the customer has a tangible tool to help evaluate and map business processes.
